Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

The teaching is organized as follows:
Learning outcomes
The course aims to bring the students: 1) to reflect sociologically on the changes that actually characterize the "work", regarding the organizational and communicative dimensions, with particular attention to the healthcare; 2) to understand the nature, characteristics and relationships of working organizations with the current social context; 3) use the knowledge gained to improve their acting as professionals in a context of complexity. The course aims to promote students in understanding the processes of change of work from the point of view of the different actors involved and their relations with the general context; the ability to recognize the importance of some organizational processes, especially communicative ones and their dynamics, useful in recognizing the work environment also in its cultural and ethical aspects, to provide students with a sort of "toolbox" to deal with today's complexity, reflecting on their professional work, widening their point of view, developing their ability to judge, communicate and relate to both the patient and the organizational context.
Besides: Learning pedagogical fundamentals of the meaning of care and take care; - Improving reflective practice and narrative approach as tools for job.
And also 1. to know the theoretical approaches regarding the study of the groups; 2. to understand the applications of the group theories; 3. to raise awareness about different roles whithin the working team and to search for strategies to manage them in order to improve their performance.
To learn communication skills to better manage the consultation and the relationship with the patient and his/her family. To understand Group and workgroup dynamics.
Program
The program will be focused on the care and linked with professional competences in Wellness and Health. The arguments will be explained in theoretical way and with analyse of case studies. The course is therefore intended to clarify the epistemological aspects and the care experiences. In particular it will analyse: - Education, experience, care and reflective practice; - Educational methods and training project.
It includes reflection on the following topics: • "Liquid" modernity and the effects on society and the individual • Work in healthcare in a complex world • The organizational processes of differentiation and integration • Organizational culture, a tool for improving performance • Communication in an organizational context • Health organizations and the challenges of diversity The didactic methods adopted include: - frontal lessons devoted to the transmission of basic notions and key categories useful for the implementation of theoretical knowledge; - interactive lessons, through video analysis and sample material, common discussion, group work and exercises, and wherever possible, the participation of privileged witnesses in order to improve the skills of learning, applied understanding, work in team, relationship and communication.
The goals of the different group's theories; the characteristics, regarding groups from different research approaches; the roles within the group; purposes and development of the groups; the features of groups in the workinterplay between the person and the group; environment.
Besides, Patient-centred communication skills to involve patients and family members in the therapeutic program. How to manage conflicts, acquire negotiation skills and assertiveness. Main group dynamics. Burnout phenomenon.

MM: SOCIOLOGIA DEI PROCESSI LAVORATIVI E COMUNICATIVI

The assessment of the learning outcomes involves a written test and an oral test; the final evaluation is expressed in 30 / 30. - The written test consists of a multiple-choice test. It seeks to assess the ability to learn and the degree of knowledge of the topics under discussion (value up to 20/30) - The oral test consists of an in-depth study of program's parts (value up to max. 10/30). It wants to verify: - communicative abilities and language ownership - the ability to connect systematically knowledge - analytical capacity and comparison between different points of view.

Attività seminariali/a scelta dello studente
La Commissione Didattica organizza l'offerta di attività didattiche opzionali, realizzabili con lezioni, seminari, corsi interattivi a piccoli gruppi, tirocini fra i quali lo studente esercita la propria personale opzione, fino al conseguimento di un numero complessivo di 6 CFU.
Le attività formative a scelta dello studente si concludono con un esame, che, in quanto tale, concorre al completamento delle certificazioni di profitto requisito per accedere all'esame finale.
Il materiale didattico relativo alle suddette attività didattiche saranno messe a disposizione nello spazio moodle riservato allo stage.
