• Identify and define the principles that underlie Palliative and simultaneous care for the holistic assistance of the patient and family
• Describe the methods and criteria for identifying the person in the terminal phase
• Distinguish the evolutionary trajectories of diseases
• Know the different care settings and the network in palliative care
• Identify care interventions to reduce symptoms and to respond needs of patients with advanced disease
• Know which are the emergencies in palliative care and describe the interventions to manage them
• Describe the path to accompany the patient and family members at the end of life
• Identify the burden of symptoms and experiences of patients in an advanced stage of disease
