Learning objectives
The internship of the third year is designed to deepen the theoretical and applied in the specialist areas and the ability to work in teams and in complex organizational contexts. The student will experience a gradual assumption of autonomy and responsibility under the supervision of experts (in specialist areas such as: neurology, musculoskeletal, critical care, oncology, pneumology and cardiology, pelviperineal and phlebolymphatic, maternal - child, research), - acquire methodological skills of scientific research aimed at writing the thesis. At the end of the 3rd year, the student will acquire the following skills: [PREVENTION]. - Promote prevention activities aimed at maintaining and improving health levels. [CURE AND REHABILITATION] - apply the knowledge acquired in the frontal lectures, plan and design the physiotherapy process in the cardio-respiratory, pediatric, geriatric, oncological, pelviperineal, phlebolymphatic areas; - identify significant elements of the analysis of the patient's medical history; - choose and apply assessment strategies using also validated scales, to detect the functional problems of the patient of physiotherapy interest and to hypothesize/identify their possible determinants; - formulate the functional diagnosis, prognosis and identify the main problems putting them in order of priority of intervention; - Define the goals of the physical therapy program, based on the predictive elements, patient expectations, available resources and setting; -select indicators to monitor achievement of goals; - identify and current the most appropriate physiotherapy strategies for achieving them, from those learned thus far and in particular: - demonstrate gestural/manual skills respecting principles of ergonomics and sicureaa and implement therapeutic exercise; - identify any aids and orthoses, educate on their use, and evaluate their effectiveness; [THERAPEUTIC EDUCATION] - formulate the therapeutic education project for the assisted person and his/her caregivers, identifying their educational needs, activating educational interventions - prepare physical reconditioning and health promotion programs through movement, particularly in chronic and/or degenerative conditions; [COMMUNICATION AND RELATIONSHIP ] - Demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills relevant to the context attended; - demonstrate with attitudes and intent, a patient-centered approach; [PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY] - ensure one's own intervention within the limits of one's own experience and competence; assume responsibility for the actions carried out in compliance with the rules of the various organizations. - to make one's own contribution within the professional team on the basis of knowledge of each other's competence profiles; [MANAGEMENT] - complete the documentation related to the internship activity and deliver it on time, according to the indications agreed with the tutors of the CDL - demonstrate skills in problem management, organize their own day of internship in relation to the objectives to be achieved; [TRAINING AND SELF-EDUCATION] - identify, choose with tutors and internship guides the best training opportunities - use self-assessment of one's training level and develop self-critical skills; - continuously seize and enhance self-study opportunities; Ask for and accept feedback, reflect on one's own performance and self-evaluate. Verify and integrate theoretical knowledge as needed. - Take responsibility for one's own professional development and for responding to ongoing changes in knowledge and health and social needs. [EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE (EPB)] - Find available evidence through consultation of appropriate databases to answer clinical questions.
Prerequisites and basic notions
To access the 3rd year internship, 100% attendance at the laboratories and tutorial exercises, passing the Professional Laboratory 3 exam and medical suitability for the internship are required.
Program
The contents of the 3rd year concern some specific professionalizing areas of physiotherapy with attention also to home rehabilitation settings and also provide knowledge inherent to the practice of the profession: physiotherapy in cardiovascular and respiratory dysfunctions; geriatric and oncological physiotherapy; physiotherapy in developmental age; physiotherapy in pelvic-perineal dysfunctions; legal, bioethical and organizational aspects in professional practice.
Didactic methods
Experience in clinical locations GUIDED INTERNSHIP FOR THE THIRD YEAR CORE SKILLS At least three experiences are planned in the areas indicated in the program. Tutorial activities of re-elaboration / debriefing, at the end of each experience. The physiotherapist internship guide takes charge of the assigned student. The university tutor monitors the experience through meetings with students and Internship Guides. Field experience, written assignments and reports. Tutorial activities of re-elaboration / debriefing, at the end of each experience, and classroom exercises.

Written exam on the preparation of a clinical case on paper about internship areas of the year
Evaluation criteria
At the end of each year of the course, a certification evaluation is carried out, in thirtieths, to ascertain the levels achieved by the student in the development of the expected professional skills.
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The final score is certifying (out of 30) and includes the formative evaluation of all levels of tutoring, both clinical and academic.
