To understand how disease processes impact on normal neurological functions and developmental trajectories.
To learn the neurological diagnostic method, including how to integrate anamnestic information, neurological exam at different ages, and instrumental diagnostic tools, with particular reference to neuromuscular diseases and principal central nervous system disorders.

Principles of embryology, anatomy and functional organization of the Nervous System
The diagnostic process in neurological diseases in developmental age
Neurological examination of preterm and term newborn
Neurological examination in childhood
Diagnostic approach to muscular hypotonia or weakness in infancy
Principles of neurophysiological tools (EMG and EEG)
Principles of neuroradiological tools (cranial US and brain MRI)
Cerebral palsies (clinical pictures and possible etiologies)
