Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide an introduction to the management of chronic diseases through an approach based on the latest evidence and guidelines (EBM and EBP), incorporating the principles of the Chronic Care Model and initiative medicine, emphasizing the importance of physical activity in the promotion of health and individual well-being, and providing the tools to be able to plan and implement therapeutic exercise programs to improve flexibility, muscle strength and cardiorespiratory fitness.
At the end of the course students must demonstrate to be able to:
- know the principles of the Chronic Care Model and Initiative Medicine;
- recognize the importance of physical activity and movement culture with a view to care and prevention;
- know and use the determinants of the therapeutic exercise in order to set up exercise programs aimed at improving flexibility, muscle strength and cardiovascular resistance;
- implement clinical reasoning in chronic neurological e musculoskeletal disorders.

Examination Methods
- written test with multiple choice test (score from 0 - 18);
- oral exam by interview with the teacher (score from 0 - 15);
The final grade will be given by the sum of the two individual tests and will be expressed in thirtieths (33 points = 30 cum laude).
