Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
Fornire conoscenze di base riguardanti la fisiologia umana, generale e del sistema nervoso, nonché la psicologia generale.
MODULO: FISIOLOGIA GENERALE Conoscere la funzione dei diversi organi del corpo umano sulla base della fisiologia delle cellule che lo costituiscono, l’integrazione degli organi costituenti nel funzionamento complessivo degli apparati cardio-circolatorio, respiratorio, escretore, digerente, e i principali meccanismi di regolazione (nervosa ed umorale) della funzione di organi ed apparati.
MODULO: FISIOLOGIA DEL SISTEMA NERVOSO Conoscere le nozioni fondamentali dell’anatomia del sistema nervoso, i meccanismi dell’eccitabilità delle cellule nervose e della trasmissione sinaptica, i sistemi di senso (somatoestesia e dolore; sensi chimici, vista, udito, equilibrio), integrare la conoscenza dei meccanismi di segnalazione e regolazione nervosa con quella dei meccanismi endocrini.
MODULO: PSICOLOGIA Evidenziare i principali presupposti teorici delle varie abilità cognitive per spiegare i meccanismi grazie ai quali gli esseri umani si adattano e reagiscono all’ambiente esterno.

------------------------ MM: Fisiologia del sistema nervoso ------------------------ Physiology of excitable membranes, synaptic transmission, sensory systems and neuroendocrine integration, on the basis of the anatomical organization of the nervous system. ------------------------ MM: Fisiologia generale ------------------------ 1) Cardiovascular system: vessels, the caridac pump, cardiac electrical activty, the capillary system, extrinsic and intrinsic control mechanisms. 2) Respiratory system: pulmonary hemodynamics; ventilation; gas excghanges. 3) Renal system: filtration, secretion, reabsorbtion, excretion. Concentration and diluition of urine. Micturition. 4) The digestive system: motility, secretion, digestion and absorbtion. 5) Metabolism.
