Examination Methods
*** ATTENTION: Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and in accordance with the University of Verona guidelines, during the 2020 summer session the assessment modality will be modified as follows: ONLINE ORAL EXAMINATION (preferably via Zoom). However, the student is asked to keep pen and paper handy. ***
The exam has the aim of verifying the theoretical competence acquired by the students and their ability to apply it to the description of various linguistic phenomena at the different levels of linguistic analysis.
The exam is a written test, consisting of 10-12 questions (multiple choice and open-ended). Depending on the number of open-ended questions, the duration of the exam can vary, ranging between 60 and 90 minutes. The questions will be about all the topics in the program, discussed during classes and autonomously studied by the students on the available materials.
The evaluation criteria are the following:
- correctness and exhaustivity of the responses;
- adequate analytical ability;
- argumentation efficacy and clarity.
