Learning outcomes
The first year is aimed at the development of relational methods for psychiatric rehabilitation. Students experiment on aspects such as professional relationships, verbal and non-verbal communication, observation. Starting from the concepts of a good relationship, we move on to address the issues concerning the psychiatric environment such as the relationship with the user with particular reference to asymmetry, time, distance and listening. The internship includes two 4-week experiences at Day Centers, Rehabilitation Therapeutic Communities and Psychiatric Services for Diagnosis and Treatment (SPDC).
Program
In the first year there are 2 internship experiences of about 4 weeks each. For each internship experience there are moments of discussion between Tutor, Supervisor and student with respect to educational objectives and learning strategies.
Examination Methods
At the end of each academic year there is the internship exam that represents the synthesis of the student's path. It is a certifying evaluation expressed by a vote in thirtieths and defined collegially by a committee composed of the Coordinator, at least one teacher and a Clinical Tutor.
The evaluation of the internship examination is composed of 60% of the evaluations reported in the Formative Evaluation Sheets of the internship experiences, 10% of the evaluation of the internship reports and 30% of the examination.
In order to be admitted to the internship exam, it is necessary to have completed and documented the number of hours required, attending the internship activities on the basis of the annual schedule (internships, reports, tutoring activities, exercises) certified by teachers, coordinator, clinical tutors and internship supervisors.
The internship examination is held in September-October. The mode that is used is decided by the Commission that chairs the examination and is communicated with advance notice to students.
There is only one call per academic year, except for particular situations for which the Teaching Committee may grant an extraordinary call.
