Learning basic theoretical concepts about major cognitive-behavioral techniques and their practical applications in the field of psychiatric rehabilitation.
Program
Theory and techniques of cognitive-behavioral therapy. The origin and development of cognitive psychology. Basic principles. Main cognitive and behavioral techniques.
Cognitive behavioral therapy in anxiety disorders and depression. The ABC model. Exercises.
Cognitive behavioral therapy for personality disorders. Major theoretical and technical approaches. The importance of the therapeutic relationship. The metacognitve and interpersonal cycles.
Cognitive behavioral therapy in schizophrenia. Cognitive models of psychosis. Main intervention techniques for individuals and groups (eg. Social skills training).
Introduction to mindfulness, exercises.
The help of cognitive behavioral techniques in coping with emotions and supervision by peers.
