Learning outcomes
• Knowing how to define the concept of addiction to psychoactive substances and the possible psychopathological meanings underlying it according to the main theories of reference.
• Identify common areas of concern related to the therapeutic relationship with the addict and alcohol dependence patient.
• Being able to define the main guidelines for the treatment of drug addiction and alcohol-related problems.
• Being able to grasp the connection between addiction to psychoactive substances and psychiatric comorbidity.
Program
Evolution of the main theoretical models related to dependence on psychoactive substances; framing the concept of addiction; diagnostic classification; etiology and theories on addiction; characteristics of the patient's request for aid dependent; guidelines for the therapeutic response; description of the services that deal with drug and alcohol problems; guidance on good practice for • operators.
Study of clinical cases as examples.
