The Study Plan includes all modules, teaching and learning activities that each student will need to undertake during their time at the University. Please select your Study Plan based on your enrolment year.
To learn the main radiologic techniques in odontostomatology, focusing on the different energies employed, their physics and collateral effects, and on the image formation. To know the indication for each technique. To learn about the radiological anatomy and radiological signs of the main pathologies such as dental caries, periapical lesions, cysts, tumors, and trauma. To learn about radioprotection for patients and health workers.
Medical Imaging: introduction.
Image formation: esposition factors and radio-geometrics.
X-rays detectors: analogical and digital.
Imaging techniques: orthopantomography, cephalometry, computed tomography, cone beam CT, ecography and magnetic resonance.
Imaging of pathology: caries, periapical lesions, cystic lesions, tumours, trauma.
Temporo-mandibular joint imaging.
Radioprotection in odontostomatology.
Written test with oral assessment if necessary.
