- General elements of epidemiological methodology. - General models of infectious disease transmission. - General models of prevention of infectious diseases: general notions of primary prevention and health education. General prophylaxis measures for infectious diseases (notification, isolation, diagnostic testing, disinfection and sterilization). General notions of immune prophylaxis and chemoprophylaxis. Elements of secondary prevention. - Epidemiology and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. - General models of epidemiology and prevention of chronic-degenerative diseases. - General notions of health planning.

Lectures with examples taken from the literature available on the subject, group discussion on key topics.
Learning assessment procedures
Written exam: multiple choice questionnaire and open questions on the topics explained during the lesson.
Evaluation: vote in 31/ 30 (30 and praise).
Equal exam for students attending and not attending.
Evaluation criteria
Adequate understanding of the main topics discussed during the course.
Ability to organize knowledge discursively.
Ability to critical reasoning.
Appropriate use of the specialized terminology (in line with the definitions provided during the lessons).
