Learning outcomes
The laboratory aims to provide students with the basic methodological and technological knowledge in the field of computer assisted translation. At the end of the laboratory the students: - will know and will be able to autonomously use the main IT resources for the management of texts in various formats, and CAT (Computer Assisted Translation) technologies; - will be able to create and manage translation memories and additional sectoral linguistic resources to support translation; - will know and will be able to autonomously use the main IT resources for automatic translation and will acquire the specialized instrumental skills for the posting-editing of automatically translated texts.

Attività in itinere con esame finale orale.
Attività in itinere: assegnazione di compiti didattici nel corso delle lezioni con consegna entro l’inizio della sessione d’esami estiva.
Attività individuale del/della candidato/a: traduzione o attività di post-editing di un testo da consegnare entro 14 giorni dall’appello prescelto. La scelta del testo sarà a cura del/della candidato/a. Per questa attività, saranno fornite linee guida prima del termine delle lezioni.
Esame orale: colloquio con analisi dell’attività individuale consegnata, verifica delle conoscenze teoriche, eventuali esercitazioni pratiche.
Il voto finale sarà determinato come segue:
- Consegna dei compiti didattici (20%);
- Attività individuale (40%);
- Conoscenze teoriche (40%).
Nessuna distinzione tra frequentanti e non frequentanti.
