Learning outcomes
Knowledge for the construction and management of both lower and upper limb prostheses, the technique of making the negative and positive model. Measurement concept. Measurement, experimentation, monitoring, diagnostics. Measurement chain, Sensors, Transducers, Conditioners, Acquisitors. Notions on the construction of exoskeletons for pathologies of neurological-orthopedic interest. Elements on performance verification and testing techniques. Notions of statistics applied to experimental research and technological analysis.
Program
Generalities of the concept of measure: normative definition. General configurations of measuring instruments and functional block diagrams. Application of instrumentation in various fields: examples. Statistical calibration and calibration curve. Statistical data processing. Metrological characteristics: accuracy, sensitivity. Concept of mean and variance. Probability distribution. Random errors and bias. Basic and inferential descriptive statistics. Correlation and association statistics. Prediction statistics: Cox analysis, survival analysis, Kapla-Meyer curves. Diagnostics: sensitivity and specificity, ROC curves. Systematic reviews and meta-analysis: definition, interpretation of data. The main tests will be shown applicatively.
