Learning objectives
This course provides a brief survey of the empirical study of awareness. We begin by asking what aspects of awareness are available to science and continue survey different aspects related to the neural correlates of visual awareness.

Students are expected to actively participate in papers analysis and discussion, including choosing and presenting a commentary from the Palmer BBS commentaries in lesson 1. Papers to discuss will be sent to the students before the beginning of the course.

PhD students must obtain a specified number of CFUs each year by attending teaching activities offered by the PhD School.
First and second year students must obtain 8 CFUs. Teaching activities ex DM 226/2021 provide 5 CFUs; free choice activities provide 3 CFUs.
Third year students must obtain 4 CFUs. Teaching activities ex DM 226/2021 provide 2 CFUs; free choice activities provide 2 CFUs.
