Learning outcomes

Provide knowledge about the normal histology, normal and functional human anatomy. HISTOLOGY: The aim of the course is to teach the morphological and structural organization of cells and tissues and to give knowledge on the development of the human embryo. At the end of the course, students will be able to: • Recognise and describe the cells structure, giving to each organelles its own function; • Understand the cellular differentiation and recognize the morphological and structural dif-ferences among the several types of cells with their own functional activities; • Recognise and describe the main human tissues, especially focusing on the functional mean-ing of each morphological aspect. HUMAN ANATOMY Acquire the ability to describe a phenomenon and use proper terminology referring to the structural organisation of human body and the links between the organ/structure with its functions, focusing mainly on the musculoskeletal system. FUNCTIONAL ANATOMY Know the functional anatomy and topography of all the musculoskeletal system. Recognise and name in an appropriate way the structures which can be identified through observation and palpa-tion and describe the main functions.
