Learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding 1. Neuroscientific knowledge of the biological mechanisms underlying human behaviour and learning in the various stages of live. 2. Knowledge of the impact that some disabilities can have on cognitive and affective behaviour. Applying knowledge and understanding 1. Ability to design psycho-educational interventions taking into account particularities and limits due to various different forms of disability. 2. Ability to interact with other professional figures who are involved in interventions with individuals suffering from disability.
Program
the course will cover the following topics:
1. general foundations of the nervous system: from the neuron to the neural networks
2. basic central nervous system anatomy
3. basic neuropsychological evaluation
4. neurological diseases
5. neurodevelopmental disorders
6. the role of the teacher and the helping relationship

In relation to the situation deriving from the Coronavirus emergency, the examination procedures have been changed, preparing them for electronic appeals, as reported below, in accordance with the instructions of the university.
For the online version, the moodle platform https://esamionline.univr.it/ and the Safe Exam Browser will be used. For further information, consult the following page: https://www.univr.it/it/esami-studenti
For summer 2021, examinations are still only in the online version
ONLINE EXAMINATIONS
Quiz of 15 multiple choice questions on the entire program, via the moodle platform at https://esamionline.univr.it/ via Safe Exam Browser. The quiz has 4 choice answers, of which only one is correct. You will have 20 minutes to complete the quiz. Each correct answer will give 1 point, wrong or missing answers 0 points.
On this platform, first connect to the zoom link, to verify identity using a university badge or valid identity document and to receive the teacher's instructions.
Then, if you have answered at least 8 out of 15 questions correctly, you will be asked with 4 open questions on zoom on the same day. If the number of subscribers is more than 15 people, more groups of the same number will be created, which will support the query at different times.
FACE-TO-FACE EXAMINATIONS
Written exam with 15 multiple choice questions and 4 open-ended questions on the entire program.
If the right answers to the multiple choice questions are less than 8, the open-ended questions will not be evaluated.
