Learning outcomes

Module: I MODULO PARTE (I)

To educate students to the complexity of the relationship between man and environment, and outline the role of the territory in the production of sustainability.


Module: II MODULO PARTE (P)
-------
The attention will be focus on the environmental problem and will be discussed the issues on self-sustainability, combining them with the role played by local communities, both in the developed countries than in developing ones.

Module: I MODULO PARTE (I)

Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of Geography.

Contents of the course: Environment and landscape in the geographical tradition; definition of the concepts; the relationship between man and environment; environmental protection; natural and humanized environment.

Text books:
For the students attending, besides lecture notes and material provided by the professor, the following texts:
TURRI E., Il paesaggio degli uomini: la natura, la cultura, la storia, Bologna, Zanichelli, 2003.
PAPPALARDO M.L., CASTAGNA A., Riflettendo su geografia ambiente e paesaggio (titolo provvisorio), Verona, QuiEdit, 2015, (in stampa)

For students not attending an interview with the professor is necessary in order to agree the program.

Contents of the course: Sustainable development; the geographical landscape; the representation and interpretation of the landscape, case sudies.
