Learning outcomes

The course aims to examine some of the fundamental themes of the narrative and poetry of the Twentieth century: Italy and the racial laws; the condition of modern man with his alienation and frustration; the big problem of the corruption; the modern rewriting of the classical myth. Next to the written text, some filmic adaptations will be examined as processes of intersemiotic translation.
