Learning outcomes

The course of Comparative Grammar of the Indo-European Languages describes the main developments within the linguistic change on the four language levels of the Indo-European Languages. In particular, the morphological level will constitute the focus of the course dealing specifically with the theory of semantics maps.

Examination Methods

Oral exam at the end of the course and presentation of a paper during the course; for working students a written assignment on a topic chosen with the help of the lecturer.
