Examination Methods
The learning assessment method is written.
The final assessment consists of 10 multiple-choice questions and two open questions. The multiple-choice questions aim at ascertaining the acquisition of fundamental basic concepts and therefore, it is necessary to correctly answer at least 6 out of 10 questions to access a positive evaluation of the entire test.
The two open questions aim at assessing the degree of in-depth analysis of the topics and assessing the capacity for critical analysis. The questions are theoretical questions and / or exercises, which need a comment in order to demonstrate an understanding of the topic. The ability to logically structure the response and mastery of the technical language of the discipline will also be evaluated.
Students have the opportunity to take the mid-term exam, structured in the same way as the final assessment. The grade obtained in the mid-term exam has a weight equal to 50% in the overall evaluation.
Part of the program evaluated in the mid-term exam: Part I (chapters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10) of COURSE-PACK, Economics of Financial Intermediaries, University of Verona, Isedi, 2018.
Students who have passed the mid-term exam will be able to complete the assessment by taking the second partial exam, which will focus on the remaining part of the program. The outcome of the mid-term exam will be valid for the two exam sessions immediately following the conclusion of the course. In the event of a negative result in the first session, it will be possible to take the final exam in the second session but on the overall program.
Students who have not taken or passed the first mid-term exam will take the exam on the overall program.
To take the assessment, the registration is required through the ESSE3 application, in compliance with the scheduled deadlines. Requests from non-enrolled students will not be taken into consideration.
The examination procedures do not differ between attending and non-attending students.
Further information can be found on the e-learning website of the course starting from the first day of classes.
