Learning outcomes
The course aims is to clarify the main problems concerning the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms. The fundamental questions we will try to answer are:
- when and how should these aneurysms be treated?
- do you need to treat only large aneurysms or even small ones?
- what does it change in the surgical indication when a patient is at low or high surgical risk?
- when it is better to use the traditional surgical technique and when the endovascular one?
We will focus on the description of traditional and endovascular surgical techniques, in particular, exploring all the possibilities that new technologies make available to the vascular specialists.
Direct participation in some of these operations in the operative theater will complete the course.
