Learning outcomes
The course aims at developing the essential clinical aspects of Gynecology and Obstetrics avoiding specific details pertaining to the post-graduate level. Infertility, fertility control, oncology and preventive screening measures are topics included within the gynaecological course of study; major pathological conditions of pregnancy, normal delivery and Cesarean section constitute the obstetrical part of the teaching programme. Along with basic principles of the use of ultrasounds in obstetrics and gynecology, gynecological surgical techniques are presented with the scope of providing the future doctor with the indications, outcomes and complications of the most frequent and clinically relevant gynaecological procedures.
Program
The student must perceive and acquire the different mode of communication between gynecological patient (similar to other medical / surgical disciplines), physiological obstetric (difficulty in dealing with absolutely healthy subjects but in a particular moment of existence), pathological obstetric difficulty in communicating the "pathological" with those of the "healthy involved in a particular moment of existence" such as gestation).
To know how a clinical problem (Obstetric and Gynecological Obstetric Emergency Room) is presented, to participate in the screening of the cervical carcinoma (perform at least one pap test). Follow in the department / operating room / delivery room the evolution of the case observed from the outset in the clinic / emergency room.
To perceive the difficulties of managing the delivery room and to assist in first person physiological parts.
Acquire knowledge of the main technical steps of the most frequent diagnostic interventions (ultrasound, hysteroscopy) or therapeutic (episiotomy, laparoscopy, cesarean section hysterectomy) facilitated by direct experience and guided by explanations / comments from the operator / tutor

1. Oral presentation of a clinical case observed during the clinical training, with additional more detailed analysis with the examiner, when required
2. Test to check what learnt during the clinical training
3. Test of knowledge of surgical techniques observed during clinical training including the labor and delivery care
