Learning outcomes
The course aims to give students basic concepts regarding the main physical quantities of Kinematics, Dynamics, the static, the fluid dynamics, optics, thermodynamics and electrology in order to cope with simple physics problems of biomedical interest. The student awareness of the benefits and risks associated with the use of x-ray machines and the obligations under the Employer and the Medical Practitioner required by current law on radiation protection.
Program
Elements of Kinematics, Dynamics and Statics with analysis of real situations. Stresses material.
Elements of Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Electrology with analysis of simple circuits in DC.
Production and interaction of X-rays with matter and elements of radiation protection with specific reference to the clinic doctor.
Examination Methods
written test consisting of open questions directed to the solution of (easy) problems on the topics covered during the course, or multiple choice quizzes. The oral test aims to acquire, if necessary, additional elements of assessment and clarify aspects of the written test.
