Learning outcomes
The overall educational objective of the Course of Psychiatry is that the student acquires, through the analysis of the basic psychic mechanisms, the aptitude to consider the psychological aspects that characterize the patient's state of health.

1- General information on psychological-psychiatric issues of dental interest
2- Patient doctor relationship - the ability to communicate - give support - difficult relationships: fear “of the dentist” - the bio-psycho-social model in psychiatry
3- Anxiety Disorders: Panic Attack, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia; Social phobia; Specific Phobia; Obsessive-compulsive disorder; Generalized Anxiety Disorder; Adaptation disorders. Nosographic and clinical aspects; differential diagnosis. Exemplification of relevant clinical cases with Dentistry
4- Mood disorders: Depressive episode, Major depressive disorder, Distinctive disorder; Manic and Hypomanic episode; Type I Bipolar Disorder; Type II Bipolar Disorder; Cyclothymic Disorder.
