The teaching offers knowledge and reflection about community, aimed to work in the professional community, do caring intervention with families and patient's community for every kind of needs and disease, collaborate and integrate with local services and information's networks.

MM: INFERMIERISTICA IN SALUTE MENTALE
------------------------
The course aims to provide basic reading keys for the knowledge of the phenomenon of mental illness and of all the parties involved and in various ways they are involved: the patient and his family, the care groups and the formal and informal networks present and possible, the institutions and all citizens. In particular, through the analysis of cases, some manifestations of mental illness and the contribution of the nurse will be investigated, as the nurse is a part of the care group, and he accompaing the sick person and his family on a journey to have a dignified life beyond the mental disorder.

MM: SOCIOLOGIA DELLA FAMIGLIA

The course offers the basic sociological tools for the understanding of the meanings and social functions of the family. Through a process divided into several steps, the socio-cultural changes of the family will be analyzed during the course. Specific attention will be dedicated to the connections between the new family forms and health situations and illness, the emergence of new ethical challenges in social and health fields, the concept of health , illness and family in cultures "other."

Main aim of this course is to distinguish group from other forms of social aggregations. Moreover, fundamental features of group (roles, leadership, timing ...) and different types of group (team, self help, virtual groups) will be discuss. Particul aim of this course consists in testing the role played by team work and working in team in the nursing contest.

Developing the student's ability to collect and manage information by dealing with psychiatric patient and his family is the main purpose of this course. The student must learn how to share information and thought in a multiprofessional team. Therefore, the main topics of clinical psychiatry will be treated together with the organization of the Department of Mental Health and Psychiatric Rehabilitation. During the course will also be highlighted the stigmatization process of the psychiatric patient and his family.

The phenomenon of stigma in mental illness, its influences in preventing the recovery path chosen and desired for the person and the strategies to face the obstacles and contribute as professionals but also as citizens to reduce it. Nursing care for the person and his / her family and the contribution of the nurse through formal and informal networks starting from the services offered by the mental health department. Nursing care for the person with mental illness according to the different operations induced by discomfort and the human, institutional and social resources that can be activated. The phenomenon of aggression in mental health. Aggressiveness of the system, of health workers, of the sick person.

The first part of the course examines the social and cultural changes that have occurred in the Italian family for the last fifty years, with a focus also on the characteristics of immigrant families living in Italy. In the second part it introduces the concepts of care and disease present in the sociological literature. In the third and final part it proposes a parallel reading of the meaning of health and disease that take in different cultural systems and the typical difficulties encountered by the healthcare provider in Italy when interacting with foreign users.

Examination Methods

Written exam, which includes all the subjects of the course, mainly in the form of questionnaire with multiple choice questions that will investigate knowledge, problem solving and decision making skills.
During the teaching, for some subjects, activities may be planned, individually or in groups, to be carried out in the classroom or even beyond the classroom, which can trigger reflections and deepenings and hesitate in elaborate writings that will be evaluated by the teachers and will contribute to the definition of the final evaluation.
