1.Develop an evidence-based and modern approach to manual therapy and an informed and critical use of manual techniques: definition of manual therapy and orthopaedic manual physical therapist, historical background and future prospects, evolution of the concept of manual therapy, neurophysiological effects of manual techniques, general principles of treatment in the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders, criteria for choosing manual techniques
2.Select manual therapy techniques appropriate to the patient's health condition, respecting indications and contraindications and considering selection and delivery criteria
-Joint techniques: resumption of the concept of joint problems, definition of joint technique, classification and modulation parameters, indications and contraindications, criteria of choice, mention of manipulation techniques, practical demonstration and examples applied to clinical cases
-Muscle techniques: resumption of the concept of myofascial problems, definition of muscle technique, classification and modulation parameters, indications and contraindications, criteria of choice, practical demonstration and examples applied clinical cases
-Neural techniques: introduction of the concept of neuropathic pain and the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying peripheral neuropathic disorders, evaluation and treatment of neuropathic disorders, definition of neural technique, types of techniques, indications and contraindications, criteria of choice and use, practical demonstration and examples applied to clinical cases
3.Correctly apply clinical reasoning based on the biopsychosocial model to the evaluation and treatment of the most common neuromusculoskeletal disorders of the lumbar and cervical spine
-Lumbar neuromusculoskeletal disorders: definition of low back pain, epidemiological data, classification systems, clinical condition of nonspecific low back pain, lumbar radiculopathy and lumbar spinal stenosis, evaluative and therapeutic approach recommended by the scientific literature, discussion of clinical relapse, clinical cases, mention of chest pain
-Cervical neuromusculoskeletal disorders: definition of neck pain, epidemiological data, classification systems, clinical condition of nonspecific neck pain, cervical radiculopathy and whiplash associated disorders, evaluative and therapeutic approach recommended by the scientific literature, discussion of clinical relapses, clinical cases
