Learning outcomes

Knowledge:
To give students basic knowledge about the Healthcare System, national and local (Azienda Provinciale per i Servizi Sanitari);
- plan and guidelines in rehabilitation;
- concepts of health, disease, disability. International classifications and measure in rehabilitation;
- Guidelines and Therapeutic Diagnostic Pathways

Ability:
- be able to describe the organization of the Healthcare System and of the APSS
- be able to describe the concepts of health, disease, disability
- be able to describe the international classifications and their aims
- be able to describe the guidelines and the therapeutic diagnostic pathways

Program

- National and Local Healthcare System: LEA, concept of clinical priority, RAO model, standardized prescription pad;
- National Rehabilitation Guideline Plan: objectives, setting, team work and individual rehabilitation project;
- Concept of quality and appropriateness in healthcare, guidelines and PDTA;
- Rehabilitation organization in APSS from Department to field and related information systems in use (SIO – Archimede);
- Definition of health, disease, disability;
- International classifications from ICD to ICF;
- Measure in rehabilitation: the taking care of the patient in rehabilitation, observations and various aspects of the clinical evaluation.

Teaching methods:
the meetings in the classroom provide frontal lessons with the backing of slides. During the lessons could be given information about texts to deepen some arguments (optional).

Resources: to deal with this module, the slides used in each lesson will be made available, written / PDF handouts will be distributed during class.

Examination Methods

Written exam with theme questions associated with questions with short answer (terminology, definitions, examples).
The score will be given on the basis of expositive clarity, of the congruence with the required theme, of the completeness of information.
