Learning outcomes

The Dental Prosthetics course is aimed at the university training of the student of the Degree Course in Dental Hygiene.
The course is designed to offer basic training in the field of dental prosthesis with the specific objective of providing the student with the basic scientific knowledge and the different types of prosthetic rehabilitation that can be encountered in the profession.
Particular attention will be paid to the methods of maintenance and management of the patient with prosthesis .

Program

The course program includes the discussion of the following topics:
- The Denture in Hystory
- The different types of dental prosthesis
- Mobile prosthesis: Full denture and skeletal prosthesis
- Temporary prosthesis
- Fixed denture on natural teeth
- Implant-supported denture
- Professional oral hygiene and prosthetics
- The vulnerable patient in prosthetics
