Learning objectives

MODULE I: The course module aims at leading students to know in detail the history of the English language; attention will also be dedicated to the linguistic analysis of Old English, Middle English and Early Modern English texts. MODULE II: The course module aims at providing students with the theoretical framework and practical aspects concerning corpus linguistics.

Prerequisites and basic notions

C1 proficiency level in English

Criteria for the composition of the final grade

The exam is divided into two oral parts, corresponding to the two teaching modules, which will be taken on the same day.
The final grade is the average of the two grades obtain in the individual modules.
