Learning objectives
MODULE I: The course module aims at leading students to know in detail the history of the English language; attention will also be dedicated to the linguistic analysis of Old English, Middle English and Early Modern English texts. MODULE II: The course module aims at providing students with the theoretical framework and practical aspects concerning corpus linguistics.
Prerequisites and basic notions
Students should have reached an advanced proficiency level in English (C1 CEFR). A certificate is not necessary for this exam.
Bibliography
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The exam is divided into two oral parts, corresponding to the two teaching modules, which will be taken on the same day. The final grade will be the average of the grades obtained in the two teaching modules.
The program of the two modules is published on the pages of the two individual modules.
