Learning objectives
Starting from the empirical evidence that clearly demonstrates how external growth strategies have become a key tool to meet the needs of business growth and consequent value creation, the course aims to present a disciplined and planned approach that addresses the various stages of the process with rationality and rigorous analysis, avoiding, as often happens, that subjective decision-making overrides the rationality of the method itself. The course aims to provide the conceptual frameworks and tools to design, first, and then put into practice, the financial operations with strategic value for the company and to formulate the decisions through which finance contributes to the implementation of corporate strategy. The topics covered are those typical of an advanced course in corporate finance, but are proposed from the perspective of professional applications. The distinctive features of the topics covered make it important to use testimonials and the analysis/discussion of business cases.
