Learning outcomes

------------------------
MM: MALATTIE CARDIOVASCOLARI
------------------------
To be able to recognize the peculiar elements of acute and chronic ischemic heart disease; to be able to recognize the basic knowledge on cardiovascular risk factors and atherosclerosis, cardiovascular primary and secondary prevention. To be able to recognize a normal ECG and the main abnormalities of a pathological ECG.
------------------------
MM: INFERMIERISTICA CLINICA MEDICA
------------------------
The teaching focusis on care of the primary health problems of the patient suffering from cardiovascular and respiratory disorders. To discuss, integrate and apply acquired knowledge, study some care paths and case studies, selected according to criteria of epidemiological relevance, exemplary and complexity.
------------------------
MM: PNEUMOLOGIA
------------------------
Provide the main information on: pathophysiology, diagnostics, management indications, educational information and hints of therapy, in the main respiratory diseases. In particular, the following are treated: Chronic Ostrittiva Bronchopneumopathy, Bronchial Asthma, Pulmonary Neoplasms, Respiratory Insufficiency, Pneumonitis, Pleurisy, Sleep Respiratory Disorders, Focusing on some related Diagnostic Techniques and Exams, such as: Bronchoscopy, Thoracoscopy, Respiratory Function Tests, Blood Gas Analysis, Pulse Oximetry Monitoring and Recording, Allergic Tests, Bronchial provocation Tests It is important try to stimulate a process of correlation between pathophysiology and clinical manifestations of each pathology, of the consequent indication to diagnostic tests and hints of therapy, underlining the educational importance of nursing staff
------------------------
MM: MEDICINA INTERNA
------------------------
The students should: acquire basic knowledge about the phyisiopathologic mechanism of the health problems elucidated during the lessons, knowing the most important clinical aspects and complications. They should also learn the fundamental medical treatment and other therapeutic options, being able to face particular cases and to discuss unclear aspects. Purpose to be implemented and target to be reached Reflect about various clinical aspects in order to identify critical situations and subsequently take the best decision for the patient. The student should be also able to discuss about ambiguous aspects, well remembering the nurses’ central role in patients care.
------------------------
MM: ONCOLOGIA MEDICA
------------------------
To know and critically put in the context the principles of Medical Oncology and Palliative Care Know the main symptoms of organ tumors and related diagnostic procedures. Knowing the goals of treatment, and specific strategies (principles of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapies). Learn about the support network and be able to refer the patient in the most suitable location.

The course defines the principles of care in the management of the acute and chronic priority problems of patients suffering from respiratory tract disorders (hypoxia, dyspnoea, bronchial obstruction) and cardiovascular disorders (fluid disequilibrium, and intolerance to physical activity ). The contents discussed in this first part of the course will then be applied and contextualized in assisting the patient suffering from angina and IMA, heart failure, COPD. The course is organized in two parts integrated and complementary. In the first part, the principles of assistance to the acute and chronic priority problems of the patient with respiratory and cardiovascular pathology will be addressed. In particular, the following topics will be addressed: - INTOLERANCE FOR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY / EXERCISE - ACUTE AND CHRONIC HYPOTHYES AND PATIENTS WITH LONG-TERM OXIGENOTHERAPY - BRONCHICAL STRUCTURE AND STACKS - ACUTE AND CHRONIC DISPLAY - HYDROELECTROLYLE DISEQUILIBRATION: ■ dehydration and hypovolemia ■ electrolyte hydrostatic homeostasis and balance of inputs and outputs ■ excess fluid volume and misdistribution concept General training goal of this first part: understand how, why and when the problem arises (deepening / integrating, if necessary, understanding, physiological / pathophysiological correlation), how the targeted assessment of the problem is performed and what nursing interventions are appropriate Monitoring and managing it. Problems treated during the frontal lessons will then declined in cases: in the second part of the course, the patient's educational and educational paths will be faced with - ANGINA AND ACUTE MIOCARDIC INFART (Case Study Exercise with discussion of the patient's pathway with acute and post-acute infarction) - HEART FAILURE - CHRONIC-OBSTRUCTIVE BRONCHOPNEUMOPATHY
