Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to make the students get disciplinary skills and provide them with methodological and didactic tools for Primary School music teaching, offering planning strategies in the musical education sector and stimulating reflection on music in the educational relationship in the various spheres of intervention.

1) Music in the national indications for the kindergarten and the first cycle of education
2) Subject areas / subjects / fields of experience: the role of music
3) Fundamentals of communication and music literacy
4) Elements of pedagogy and methodology of music education
5) Features of the history of musical pedagogy
6) The active method: historical models
7) The new musical pedagogical trends
8) Children’s musical reading and writing
9) The musical fairy tale: playful-creative activities
10) Elements of didactics of the history of music
11) Programming and planning of musical educational activity

Examination Methods

Written exam, consisting in four open questions. Each of them is worth from 0 to 8 points, for a total maximum of 32 points, corresponding to the vote of 30/30 cum laude.
The following will be evaluated: completeness, correctness and relevance of the contents, clear presentation, use of specific language.
