Learning outcomes

The course aims to develop and consolidate their understanding of the pragmatic and multimodal aspects of the promotional text in English, with special focus on the varieties of tourism and commerce. At the end of the course the students should be able to demonstrate a competent use of the tools for analysis of the descriptive and persuasive texts in English. A C1 competence is required for the exam.

Examination Methods

Access to the final exam is possible only with a C1 level certificate given by the CLA or the equivalence certificate given by the CLA. Furthermore it is necessary to have successfully passed the English Literature 2 exam and the English language 2 exam. The final exam is a test with closed questions and semi-open questions about the topics of the course. Please, prepare the material that you find on moodle and make reference to the material listed in the bibliography. For further information, please read notifications posted on the moodle website for the course.
