Learning objectives
In this lab students will learn and practice with complementary aspects related to Web and Social Media publishing. At the end of the lab students: will learn the basic principles of the Web and Social media; will learn how to manage web publishing technologies such as CMS (e.g., Wordpress) and Social Media for content dissemination purposes; will learn the guidelines for designing inclusive web pages and preparing accessible materials; and, will learn how to manage, prepare, optimize, and distribute multimedia files for the Web and Social Media.

Program
The lab is divided into lectures and practical activities. The following topics will be covered:
- Web and accessibility;
- Social media and accessibility;
- Digital documents and accessibility;
- HTML+CSS and CMS (WordPress);
- Fundamentals of Web Design for publishing accessible content;
- Terms of use and licenses for content accessibility.
During the course students will prepare contents and multimedia files for publication according to the rules of accessibility.
Bibliography
Didactic methods
The lab is structured in lectures and practical activities. Students will learn the basics of accessibility in web publishing, test some of the main technologies and develop a project independently. Method of teaching support: materials and resources will be provided during the lessons and uploaded on the Moodle plattform.

Learning assessment procedures
Attendance and student contribution to class is strongly encouraged. The exam consists in the presentation and discussion of the papers produced during the practical activities. Students must also demonstrate that they have understood the topics covered in class. Non-attending students must agree on the exam program with the teacher. For the documents delivery, the instructions on the moodle platform must be followed.
Evaluation criteria
Delivery of the assignments, correctness of the answers with respect to the exam questions.
