Learning objectives
The course aims at providing students with an in-depth thematic analysis related to the Russian cultural and literary field and in particular to history from the XIX century until the present day. The main goal of the course is providing students with historical and methodological knowledge enabling them to analyse and interpret artistic phenomena in the light of their social and cultural context thus understanding their relevance. At the end of the course students will be able to: 1) show deep knowledge of some of the main Russian cultural processes and phenomena in their historical and social context as well as in the intersection of different artistic fields; 2) deal with a semiological and comparative analysis of the cultural and artistic phenomena focused on during the course; 3) interpret historical, artistic and cultural events through structuring ideas autonomously and competently.
Prerequisites and basic notions
The course will be held in Italian. A certain interest in Slavic history, culture and literature is required on the part of the students.
Program
In a vast historical-cultural panorama, the thirteen figures of writers from the Slavic world who received the Nobel Prize in literature will be presented. We will study some of their texts.

Learning assessment procedures
Oral exam. It will consist of an interview dedicated to verifying knowledge and understanding of the contents presented during the course; a comparison between the two authors will also be required through some of their texts chosen by the student, in order to evaluate the methodology of analysis of the materials.
Evaluation criteria
The following will be taken into consideration: knowledge of the contents exposed during the course, as well as commitment and creativity in displaying the comparison between some authors and their works.
