Learning objectives
Comprehension and analysis of contemporary artworks; critic and historical attitude in using the methodological tools of the discipline; how to research in the field of Contemporary Art History; deep knowledge of the monographic topic of the course.
Prerequisites and basic notions
Knowledge of the development, chronologies and languages of the visual arts from the early nineteenth century to the end of the twentieth century.

The reference texts are provided in the bibliography and in the moodle platform.

Didactic methods
Frontal lessons in the classroom with slide show illustration of the works and documents under discussion. Classroom interventions by professionals in the sector, supplemented by dialogue with the teacher and students. External lessons at the university's contemporary art collections.
Learning assessment procedures
Oral interview.
Evaluation criteria
The final mark will be calculated as follows: - Failure to pass the exam: the candidate does not achieve any educational objective; - From 18 to 20: Level just enough. The candidate only achieves the results foreseen in the point "knowledge and understanding"; - From 21 to 23: Fully sufficient level. The candidate achieves, in particular, the learning outcomes foreseen in the points "knowledge and understanding" and "application of knowledge and understanding"; - From 24 to 26: Good level. The candidate achieves the learning outcomes foreseen in the points "knowledge and understanding", "applied knowledge and understanding" and "autonomy of judgement"; - From 27 to 29: Very good level. The candidate achieves the learning outcomes foreseen in the points "knowledge and understanding", "applied knowledge and understanding", "autonomy of judgment" and "communication skills" - 30: High level. The candidate fully achieves the learning outcomes foreseen in all points - 30 cum laude: Excellent level. The candidate achieves the expected learning outcomes in all points in an excellent way.
