Learning outcomes

The course will provide students with an adequate explanation of the issues and problems of Italian literature from its origins to the nineteenth century.

Program

The first part will illustrate the most important authors of Italian literature from the sec. XIII to Ludovico Ariosto.
The second part will deal with authors and moments of Italian literature in the period between the mid-sixteenth century to the end of XIX (from Torquato Tasso to Alessandro Manzoni).
