Learning outcomes

Principal aim of this class is to present European history of twenty century in a comparative and translation perspective. Main focus will be on European post WWI history and on the history of totalitarian regimes. Starting the end of IIWW, we will compare European history with political, cultural and social transformations regarding Africa, Asia, North and South of America areas.

Program

Principal topic of this class are: 1) IWW and the European totalitarian regimes, 2)IIWW, 3) Cold War and international political and cultural struggle between USA and URSS, 4)decolonization and geopolitical transformations of international relations, 5)The "Sixty": revolutions, and dictatorship, 6) The crisis of American hegemony and the fall of Communism, 7) Europe and international relations after 1989, 8) Globalization.

Stage e tirocini

Le attività di stage sono finalizzate a far acquisire allo studente una conoscenza diretta in settori di particolare interesse per l’inserimento nel mondo del lavoro e per l’acquisizione di abilità professionali specifiche.
Le attività di stage sono svolte sotto la diretta responsabilità di un singolo docente presso studi professionali, enti della pubblica amministrazione, aziende accreditate dall’Ateneo veronese.
I crediti maturati in seguito ad attività di stage saranno attribuiti secondo quanto disposto nel dettaglio dal “Regolamento d’Ateneo per il riconoscimento dei crediti maturati negli stage universitari” vigente.
