Learning outcomes
The course outlines the development of historiography in the High Middle Ages, through the study of particularly significant passages taken from the works of the authors of the period (Gregorio di Tours, Beda il Venerabile, Paolo Diacono and Liutprando di Cremona)

Requirements: basic knowledge of Latin
Content of the class: historiography in the early Middle Ages. Analysis of significant “specimina” of historiography in the VI-X centuries (Gregorio di Tours; Beda il Venerabile; Paolo Diacono; Liutprando di Cremona)
