Learning outcomes
The course consists of an analytical part and a practical part. The analytical part has the objective to provide the theoretical notions and the critical tools to be able to read and analyze information regarding "diversity", with particular reference to the theme "media and immigration" and to the representation of crime and justice in the media. The practical part has the objective of translating the critical competences acquired into the realization capacity of multimedia products that have at the center the theme of cultural diversity and justice.
Program
Pre-requisites: high competence in Italian language; awareness of social themes and the intercultural dialogue; interest in newspapers' analysis, journalism and multimedia in a multicultural society.
Course content: analysis of journalist texts about cultural diversity; critical analysis of a criminal case and its depiction through the media; multimedia writing.
The aim of the course is a critical competence about the media. And a fundamental competence about writing for the media.
