Learning outcomes

The teaching course is focused on the comprehension of the main mechanisms that trigger any neoplastic disease, on the most frequent cancers' epidemiology, on the lifestyle (diet, nutrition, screening) and on the diagnostic and therapeutic pathways with regards to the nurse role. The most important cancers are extensively presented. Moreover, it is analyzed the cost-to-benefit ratio in a time of high-priced drugs. The student will also improve his knowledge in the most innovative and cutting-edge (precision oncology, immunotherapy, and target therapies). The role of the nurse within a new research environment is also presented.
