Clinical nursing care in medical area (2018/2019)
The teaching is organized as follows:
Learning outcomes
the teaching aims to address the variability of the trajectory of disease, complexity of the problems of the patient and family along a continuum of the following health problems health problem heart failure, IMA and angina, COPD and asthma. The development of the disease in the phase of stability/instability and in the advanced phase allows a) to dwell on the relevance and necessity of assistential, educational and rehabilitative interventions-with an integrated and interdisciplinary approach-towards patient and Family b) reflect on the contribution in the care and assistance of experienced family patients; c) Develop a territorial vision on resources and opportunities Home care; d) analyze the palliative and end-of-life approach, including for non-oncological patients, for symptom management and family support in difficult choices. Instability/flare will be addressed with the assistance protocol.
This teaching is built on the knowledge of the 10 year of "General Nursing and Applied methodology" and Physiopathology Applied to Nursing" (evaluation of the breath, significance and signs/symptoms of hypoxia, dyspnea, principles of O2terapia; Principles of caring and vigilance). The contents are linked to the modules of "therapeutic education" and "community nursing" for the trend of early resignation and need for support at the time of discharge.
The teaching also integrates with the professional laboratories foreseen in the 2nd year of course: making decisions for the management of the patient with decompensation In the stabilised phase and in the advanced phase; Develop connecting skills in a person with COPD.
Program
Teaching contributes to the following learning outcomes:
- ascertain and manage nursing care in patients with chronic and disability problems
- participate and collaborate in the management of diagnostic and therapeutic pathways
- monitor and monitor the clinical and psycho-social situation of patients by identifying signs of aggravation at an early stage
- identify and prevent exacerbation factors in chronic patients
- activate decision-making processes based on the patient’s condition, expected outcomes, the impact of the situation on the patient and his family
- support patient learning to self-manage health problems

Examination Methods
Written exam with closed questions with multiple choice answers and/or short answer open questions.
The exam may include an oral interview to supplement the written test
