Learning outcomes
The student will be able to:
- Understand the concepts of muscle chain, synergistic muscles, agonists / antagonists, stabilizers in relation to the general functional gesture
- know the biomechanics of simple physiological functional movements of the limbs
- know the biomechanics of physiological functional movements of the spine
- Know the biomechanics of physiological functional gestures involving multiple joints (postural passages)
- Perform a functional kinesiological observation of the main movements described above
- Make assumptions about which biomechanical alterations can be observed or detected
Program
- Review of concepts about musculoskeletal anatomy
- Introduction to muscle chains and mutual interactions: synergistic muscles, agonists / antagonists, stabilizers
- Biomechanics of functional movements of the upper limb
- Kinesiological observation/analysis of reaching, grasping and manipulation functions
- Biomechanics of functional movements of the inferior limb
- Kinesiological gait observation/analysis
- Biomechanics of functional movements of the spine
- Kinesiological observation/analysis of the spine in postural passages
Examination Methods
Theoretical-practical examination, with initial oral interview and subsequent practical session of observation of the kinesiological functions of the upper limb, the inferior limb and the rachis
