Learning outcomes
Learning basic anatomy and physiology of the pelvic floor and of its main disfunctions.
Learning main rehabilitation tecniques such as manual or instrumental ones.
Program
Pelvic floor anatomy. The pelvic girdle and its organs. Muscles, fasciae and tendons.
Bladder and urethra. Voiding bladder physiology.
Colon and rectum. Defecation physiology.
Main disfunctions related to pelvic floor and their classification (main types of incontinence, sexual disorders, chronic pelvic pain...)
Fisrt approach to riabilitation: anamnesis, patient's assessment, project work.
Full history and physical examination of the patient: bladder training/diary, pad test, PC test.
Management of the treatment (manual and instrumental tecniques).
Examination Methods
Written test.
