The teaching is organized as follows:
Learning outcomes
MODULE I The course aims at leading the students to know in detail: (1) the history of the English language; attention will also be dedicated to the linguistic analysis of texts belonging to Old English, Middle English and Early Modern English; (2) the history of journalistic writing in anglophone countries, from its origins to the present day. MODULE II The course module aims at providing students with the theoretical framework and practical aspects concerning corpus linguistics.

The final mark will result from an average between the evaluation of the two modules, bearing in mind the number of credits covered by each module.
