Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

GENERAL LEARNING OBJECTIVES. *To know and understand the theories related to the mechanisms of psychological functioning of people at work and in the organizations, for example motivation, satisfaction, or wellbeing. *To apply the psychological theories to the functioning of individuals, groups, and organisation in order to observe and analyse behaviours, and in particular phenomena concerning learning and personal and social changes. *To apply knowledge about psychological measurement instruments to the assessment of individuals, to the evaluation of learning needs, for training and development of individuals along the whole life course, of groups, of organisation, and communities.
SPECIFIC LEARNING OBJECTIVES. *To provide students with knowledge and understanding of the main Social Psychology theories on social perception and cognition, individual and group attitudes and behaviors, their functioning and adjustment to the social context. *To apply theoretical constructs to the analysis and interpretation of individual and social changes (or stability). *To provide students with knowledge and understanding of Social Psychology research methods, with a focus on experimental research, and skills concerning the description and interpretation of social psychology research findings. *To develop skills of literature review, reading and interpretation of scientific articles for professional update in the social psychology domain.
Prerequisites and basic notions
There are no specific prerequisites other than those required for access to the degree course.
Program
In line with its educational aims, the course offers an introduction to Social Psychology, its areas of interest, theories and methodologies, with a focus on the study of human behaviour and how it is influenced by other individuals and groups, of social perception and cognition, of individual and group attitudes.
The course will cover the following topics.

Bibliography
Didactic methods
Theories, concepts, and methods will be presented during lectures (frontal teaching). In addition, students will be given the opportunity to complete individual and group assignments concerning: a) the interpretation of real-life events in terms of key socio-psychological concepts relating to intrapersonal, interpersonal, and intergroup processes; b) the knowledge of how research aims and hypotheses are translated into measures and instruments; c) search of scientific papers on specific topics, selection, reading, and synthesis of an article.
Lectures will be in presence. Materials such as power points and texts of in-class assignments will be made available in moodle for students that will be unable to attend some lectures.
Learning assessment procedures
The exam will be in the form of a test composed by 31 multiple choice questions; each question has 3 response alternatives, one of which is correct. Students will be asked to complete the test in 20 minutes.
Evaluation criteria
Each correct answer will be awarded 1 point; 0 points will be assigned to every wrong answer or answer not given (there are no penalties for wrong or not given answers).

CONTAMINATION LAB
The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.
Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Stage e Tirocini
Le attività che ci si aspetta il/la tirocinante curriculare in Scienze psicologiche per la formazione svolga presso gli enti che lo/la ospitano riguardano principalmente attività di affiancamento nei seguenti ambiti:
- Formazione, sviluppo, innovazione e gestione delle risorse umane;
- Orientamento scolastico e professionale;
- Ricerca, selezione e valutazione psicologica del personale.
Sono ritenuti ambiti adeguati le diverse agenzie per il lavoro, le agenzie di formazione, le agenzie di orientamento, le società di consulenza e tutti gli enti, le associazioni, le aziende, le imprese e, in generale, le organizzazioni che al loro interno operano attività di ricerca, selezione e valutazione psicologica del personale, attività di formazione, sviluppo, innovazione e gestione delle risorse umane e attività di orientamento scolastico e professionale. Anche enti di ricerca e Università dove si conducono studi e indagini su questi temi sono ambiti ritenuti adeguati.
Lo/la studente/essa sarà seguito/a da un tutor accademico e da un tutor aziendale. Alle attività di tirocinio sono attribuiti 9 CFU (pari a 225 ore).
Il tutor aziendale deve essere un laureato in psicologia anche non iscritto all’albo.
