Learning objectives
The course aims to provide students with the cognitive and methodological tools necessary for understanding the clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of the main pathologies of surgical concern. General information on pathological anatomy and on the role of pathological anatomy in the study of disease processes in the orthopedic field. Diagnostic tools and auxiliary techniques. Knowledge relating to genetic and rare neuromuscular diseases of orthopedic interest involving the musculoskeletal system such as dystrophies, myopathies, myotonic, inflammatory and myasthenic forms. Knowledge of pharmacology applied to the medical and orthopedic fields and acquisition of the application tools necessary for the control of pharmacological therapies. Acquire the essential knowledge to understand the main rheumatological diseases through the anatomical-functional bases of osteo-articular and musculoskeletal structures, the pathophysiological principles of rheumatic diseases, elementary semeiotics and the principles of differential diagnostics, classification, evaluation scales and the epidemiology of major rheumatic diseases. PATHOLOGICAL ANATOMY: the aim of the course is to offer the tools to understand the anatomo-pathological frameworks of the most relevant diseases in the orthopedic field, in order to understand the contribution of pathological anatomy in the clinical decision-making process. GENERAL SURGERY: The course aims to provide students with the cognitive and methodological tools necessary for understanding the clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of pathologies of surgical interest such as breast pathologies, endocrine pathologies, abdominal (traumatic, acquired and oncological), thoracic and vascular. PHARMACOLOGY: To provide students with the foundations of the pharmacological discipline and the cognitive applicative tools necessary for carrying out the role of the orthopedic technician in the control of pharmacological therapies. GENETIC DISEASES OF ORTHOPEDIC INTEREST: general notions on the physiopathology of genetic pathologies and on the main genetic diseases of orthopedic interest. RHEUMATOLOGY: Acquire the essential knowledge to understand the main rheumatological diseases through: anatomical-functional bases of the osteo-articular and musculoskeletal structures, the pathophysiological principles of rheumatic diseases, elementary semeiotics and the principles of differential diagnostics, classification, scales assessment and epidemiology of major rheumatic diseases
