There are no specific prerequisites; however, students are encouraged to attend the 'Language Teaching' course after the 'Language Learning' course, which provides the theoretical background.

Program

The course will give students an essential overview of foreign language teaching methodologies, referring to various approaches (audiolingual, communicative, humanistic-affective, etc.). It will discuss aspects concerning the design, organization, and implementation of teaching activities, focusing on analysing students' educational needs, planning a learning unit, and selecting, adapting, and creating teaching materials. The course will also explore the most effective teaching strategies for developing receptive skills (listening and reading comprehension), productive skills (oral and written production), and integrated techniques. Finally, it will describe the methods for providing effective feedback to students and discuss aspects related to the assessment of linguistic abilities.
